Taryn Stevenson

Taryn’s therapeutic approach is grounded in Solution Focused Positive Psychology Approaches. Understanding the importance of finding a personal meaning assists individuals in looking towards the future they want and can assist the healing process. Mindfulness serves as the backdrop of her work whether she is working with a client to heal trauma, improve relationships, reduce stress and anxiety, seek balance in their life or chart a course for the future.  Taryn has experience with a variety of clients and families to assist them in creating the life that they want.

Taryn has a Masters counseling education from University of Central Florida/2004.  She has been a licensed mental health counselor in the in mental health State of Florida since 2006.  Taryn also completed a PhD in Information Systems specializing in the use of Technology in Education and Daily Life. She also has a graduate certificate in Play Therapy from the UCF and a B.A. in Human Services from Empire State College.  Taryn has specialized training in Play Therapy, Veterans issues, Substance Abuse, Technology and Mental Health and is a Board 491 Clinical Supervisor in the state of Florida.  Taryn is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Mental Health Counselors Association of Central Florida.
