Martha is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with the state of Florida. Martha earned a Master of Science in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University, and a Law Degree from the Catholic University of Colombia. Martha worked as a writer in a Criminal Court in Colombia, moved to the United States, and worked over 8 years in Quality Assurance at a billing department for a rental medical equipment company. Martha also worked for almost 3 years as a Targeted Case Manager with Medicaid population, linking clients to community resources. Martha is also bilingual, fluent in Spanish and English.
Martha has experience working with clients who are dealing with mental health issues and understands their feelings and needs. She also has experience and enjoys working with adolescents, adults, families, and couples. She works with problems such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, ODD, anger management, grief, and lost and sexual orientation. Martha also has a certification in PREPARE/ENRICH for couples.
Martha believes that people have the power to make changes in their lives if they are properly oriented to do so, as well as if they increase self-awareness and self-esteem by making themselves their first priority.
