Caroline Given is a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern in the State of Florida. Caroline earned a Master’s degree in clinical social work from University of Central Florida and a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Florida State University.
Caroline enjoys working with adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families. Caroline has experience in addressing a number of issues related to mental health and interpersonal growth, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief, trauma, anger, self-esteem issues, and relationship challenges. Although her therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Caroline integrates a number of research-based models, such as Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy, in order to best serve the needs of her clients. Because each person’s situation is unique, Caroline believes in working collaboratively with her clients to tailor treatment to their individual needs.
Caroline aims to empower her clients to overcome the obstacles in their daily life through increased mindfulness, insight, and skill building. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship can enable clients to “thrive instead of just survive” and feels that her role as a therapist is to assist her clients in reaching their potential and achieving a sense of personal fulfillment.
